How the plate is chosen
For every candidate plate the app nests the profiles, then works out: material cost = plate value − (usable cut piece kg × cut piece rate) − (scrap kg × scrap rate). A full plate is valued at the full plate rate, a cut piece at the cut piece rate. Breaking a full plate turns the leftover into a cut piece, so it loses the difference between the two rates; every kg of scrap loses the difference down to the scrap rate. The plan with the lowest total material cost wins, and when a full plate is used while cut pieces exist, the app shows why with the ₹ difference.
